Howl on Rendezvous-lähiverkkoteknologian toteutus Windowsille ja Linuxille. Rendezvous’n avulla käyttöjärjestelmä voi automaattisesti löytää lähellä olevat palvelimet ja tulostimet. Apple käyttää teknologiaa muun muassa iTunesissa, joka listaa lähiverkossa olevat jaetut soittolistat, ja iChatissa, joka näyttää listan lähiverkossa olevista iChatin käyttäjistä.
