Ex-Rolling Stone Bill Wyman uhkaa oikeustoimilla toimittaja Bill Wymania nimensä käyttämisestä. Erityisen huvittavaa tässä on se, että rollari-Wyman ei ole edes oikealta nimeltään Bill Wyman, toisin kuin kaimansa, joka on kirjoittanut artikkeleita omalla nimellään jo parikymmentä vuotta.
En löytänyt tätä Iomegan saitilta, mutta firma julkaisi joka tapauksessa tänään seuraavan tiedotteen (lyhentäen):
“Iomega announced today that the Russian Aerospace Agency has certified external Iomega HDD 20 GB USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drives and Iomega Zip 750 MB USB 2.0 drives for use at the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS).
In September this year, Energia Certification Foundation tested the Zip 750 MB drive in order to assess its performance in a temperature range of -15°C to +40°C and its vibration resistance with a load of 1-15g in a frequency range of 5 to 2000 hertz. The positive results obtained from multiple tests of the drive enabled foundation experts to certify the drive for the ISS.
The Iomega HDD 20GB USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive was also awarded a RosAviaCosmos certificate. The portable hard drive, with the latest generation of high-availability and high-speed drives, passed all the necessary radiation resistance tests and showed good results when exposed to an ionizing radiation of 5 kRad.”
